Insomnia happen again, so please let me share my thought tonight.
Pardon me if my english not good and so many mistake in grammar.
In psychology, ownership is the feeling that something is yours (red: Wikipedia).
In the abstract, property is that which belongs to or with something, whether as an attribute or as a component of said thing (red: Wikipedia).
When i was a child i really like read Donald Duck magazine, there is a story that not forgotten :
The Mayor of Duck City has really stress because no one of citizen want to taking care of the cleanliness and neatness of the city, every public facilities (bus, park, garbage can, etc) really fast get damage and so dirty. Then his staff and him get idea that every public facilities must have the owner, its still free and for public but its owned, for example: road lamp in front of a shop will be owned by the shop owner, they are free to change the colour of pillar, put flower surround it or etc but the electricity and lamp will be given by government, they only need to taking care of it as owner.
The result is really great! the owner will angry to the people that want to make dirty or harm the property (public facility) so every public facilities stay clean and in good condition then people get realize that they were do wrong so they are not do that again, i thought people will not care or still do the same because its like a habit, but it doesn't, everything has changed! its unpredictable for me as a child, but now, as i grow older, i realize, its The Theory of Ownership, because you feel that something is yours, so you do anything to make it always be yours, you don't want to lose it, you love, keep and care of it with well - because its your own property.
Now, i want to talk about working life not property, i am sure you ever read of these words : love your job or love what you do and do what you love or follow your passion then you will never have to work in another day and so on..i think, there is 1 more important thing in working life: do your task or work or be like you are a half of the owner, why? so you will more responsible with your job, do your task and handle your customer, why? thats not my company, that won't be my company, i'm only staff in there, for what i should so serious like that?
Let me explain, that company is the place for you to work, increase your knowledge and get money so if its bancrupt or not going smooth because you are not work well (1 person even he/she is only a typist or office boy/girl (cleaner) will always give impact to the business cycle, mind it! whatever your position, you are worthy!) do you think it will easy to get a new job? as easy as turning the palm of the hand? i'm sure your answer will be NO, so in working life you should consider the theory of ownership, if you consider it, you will be a honest person in workplace, work hard and handling your supplier and customer with well (conclusion is: full of responsibility) because you feel you are a half owner, as owner you have responsible to make everything going smooth, why you should do this? as a thankful attitude because you have a job, if you're not work well the business cycle will not good then company will bancrupt then you will lose your job, right? so mind it.
Until now, i still not understand why people do corruption, snab their co-worker from behind or steal company's stuff? day by day getting job is harder then why just not work well? to make everything fine, to live in peace and enjoy your life more, why?
